The first commercially available non-jockey based, remote upper airway endoscope is now available to the equine veterinary world.  The overground scope has been developed over the past 3 years with our German manufacturers to satisfy market damand and has some excellent features:-

• 68cm length semi-ridged endoscope with quick release mechanism, 11.3mm O.D. field of view 120 deg. Deflecting up 90 degrees, down 120 degrees, left/right 90 degrees.  Fully immersible and can be gas sterilised.  Unique, adjustable scope mechanism to suit different size horses and retain stability in the URT.  Incorporated immersible processor with leak tester provided.  Combined endscope and processor weight 0.9kg 
• Manual and automated air/flush complete with water bottle.  Distilled water recommended.  Manual flush/air controlled by button on console or the same can be automated by software to the clinicians preference.
• 24w Xenon lightsource with 4 light guides, insufflation pump and umbilicus with quick release mechanism.  Combined lightsource/battery and umbilicus weight 2.5kg with a battery life of 1.5hrs, 2 batteries included.
• Individual neoprene designed saddle blanket to incorporate the on-board notebook, lightsource/pump.  Can be easily used with a normal racing saddle.
• Standard English leather bridle with fully adjustable brow and nose bands.  Bit can be attached to adjustable cheek pieces and own reins must be used.
• Low energy, efficient single core processor Notebook.  Placed inside pocket on Neoprene blanket. Video files saved in AVI format and can be played in Windows Media Player.  Weight 1.3kg.  Battery life 1.5hrs.
• Waterproof, rugged anti-glare console notebook controlled by the clincian.  Comes with both deflecting joy stick and air/water to remotely deflect/flush endoscope.  Weight 2.3kg.  Ability to start/stop recording, flush upto 150m.  Battery life 8hrs.
• Mains battery charger for lightsource/pump
• Carry cases for both electronics, bridle, blanket and water bottle.
